My Passion

"To the ends of the earth I will follow
There's nothing that I will not do
You alone are my reason for living
Jesus my passion is You."
Travis Cottrell

How my heart has been captured by the words of this song this past week. In case you just read them over quickly, go back and read them again.

Can you say that with deep conviction? Would you follow Him to the ends of the earth? Think of what that might mean. Leaving everything - the familiar and safe, and commencing upon a journey of uncertainty. Going who knows where, doing who knows what. Where would the "ends of the earth" be for you? The farthest, remotest place you think you could barely imagine ever travelling - not geographically necessarily, but where does your heart need to travel in order to abandon it all? To the end of fear...depression
...greed...guilt...self...regrets...impurity...jealousy...envy...
perfectionism...worry...doubt...? To what 'end' does God need to take you?

Then, upon your arrival, is there truly 'nothing' that you wouldn't do? Could you...would you completely surrender? Hold absolutely nothing in reserve? I don't know that I'm there yet. I want to be. Lord, I long for You to be all I want.

Do more than listen to this song my friend. Click below. Turn up the volume. Answer His call. Close your eyes. Raise your hands. Let the message come from your heart. Is He your passion today and forever?

I have so far to go friend! I'd love to think that I'm there...or even almost there but I'd be fooling myself. Thank you for the reminder.

Looking forward to enjoying this song at home this evening.

Happy Thanksgiving sweet Joy! This weekend as we celebrate Thanksgiving, one of the many things I'm thankful for is the friendship we share. Love you.

I remember when I came across the verse, "I want to know you and the power of your resurrection and the fellowship of your suffering." in Philippians.

Did I REALLY want to know Him? I wanted the power of the resurrection, yea...but the fellowship of His suffering.

It took me several hours/days of pondering it until I could say, "yes".....

This song really makes you stop and consider...

Thanks!

And thanks for your visit and your sweet words. They always minister to my heart.

Hugs,
Julie

I am praising God this afternoon that you are right there next to God listening to Him and His heartbeat...you are right where you need to be. Yeah!

This was a great song...I am a very passionate person...VERY passionate...like Saul to Paul passionate...and He constantly is redirecting my passion!

Glad to see a post from you.

Thanks for sharing this and causing me and many others to perk up and really ponder this. I know I'm not there. Is it possible to ever fully 100% be there before Heaven. I hope so but I'm not sure if we'd be there all the time 100% without our flesh interferring but it's a wonderful thing for which to strive.

Sweet blessings,
Paula

Allured and at His feet. The best place to be. You are doing a good thing, something that many of us need to do more often.

So glad you are being filled and refreshed by HIM.

Beautiful post!

I can honestly say that I HAVE followed Him - though it has cost me. God has not always taken me where I want to go, but He is faithful to be with me every step of the way.

Thanks for dropping by and joining in the power of His love, Joy...my times with Him have been far too inconsistent which is so ironic as the only times that I have been 'filled' have been with Him...so Lord, come fill me again...
