Holiday Pictures - Part 2

Home today while my son writes a 3 hour music theory exam. Getting caught up on some blog connections. Thought you might like to see some more visuals. Here are some pictures of the accommodations, bookstore, lodge, and chapel.

Here is the “Hub” - a fun place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and a famous MBC cinnamon roll.

Here is my son driving our boat.

Tea parties, golfing and family dinners.

(For the record, that's my twin sister, Japhia, in the pink to the left, and my older sister Sharon behind her.)

I’ll post pictures of the dining room and beach another day. I'll close today with a sunset.

Each day we sit under the most amazing preaching. Chapel services both morning and evening inspire, convict and challenge. They are led by wonderful men of God - James MacDonald, Ron Pierce, Joe Boot, Ron Cline, Dr. David Walls, Rick Baker, David Epstein etc… Concerts every Saturday evening are uplifting and worshipful. Some of my favourites include, Deborah Klassen, The Master’s Four, His Season and Diane Susek.

I wish all of you could be up here with me. We’d go down and sit on the beach and enjoy some precious time together…or, a round of mini-golf or game of tennis….what about rock-climbing or a canoe trip down the river? My husband would be only too glad to take you water-skiing, wake-boarding or tubing.

Hope you’ve enjoyed a taste of our holiday. What are you doing today?

I've stepped out in the a new level of mentoring today.

I've invited a young single mother of the age 19 into a bible study with me, just one on one.

I've opened my home this afternoon for almost 2 full hours to my Girlfriend as I dismantled under the leading of the Holy Spirit the 3 younger women at one time Mentoring program I've been involved in since October...to just this day stepping out for Him into one-on-one. Two of them desire this, so I'll meet with the other next week. The third lady wants to go her own direction.

So my Friday off from work, has been filled with the joy of serving Jesus.

But oh, how I wish we could have coffee together there on your holiday. I truly have missed you, friend.

Love,
Yolanda

Oh, I have to confess my envy!!!!!!!!!!! I so want to be THERE! But vacation is just a day away. We leave in the morning to go see JJ's parents in FL. It will be good. I just wish we had 2 weeks. Oh how wonderful!

Loved your parallel about searching for God desperately like I was determined to find the teacher. I am really going to "ponder" that one!

Love you girl!

Sounds more like "holyday" to me.

Thanks for sharing your summer with us. And that golf swing? My boys would be so proud!

Enjoy the rest of your time there. Truly, it seems tranquil, and I am so thankful that you and your family have the occasion to holiday in a holy and sared way.
