Happy Mother's Day

Yesterday my church hosted a Mother/Daughter High Tea. It was a lovely afternoon from start to finish. The room was decorated beautifully and each table was set by the Hostess of that table. My older sister was the "Martha Stewart" behind our exquisite table decor.

Pictured above is my family: Standing, left to right: my sister Sharon, my sister Japhia. Seated, left to right: my neice Michelle, me, my Mom.

I'm so thankful to the Lord that almost 16 years ago now I celebrated my first Mother's Day. There is no greater joy today, than to know that my son is walking with the Lord.

Where did he get that height?

Blessings to all my blog friends today - and Happy Mother's Day!

Joy,

Thanks so much for posting on my site. I'm excited you will be attending She Speaks and hope you will make a point to find me and introduce yourself.

I will encourage you about flying... the Lord is going to bless your time at the conference beyond anything you can imagine. You will walk in the door on Friday in love with our sweet Jesus and you will walk out on Sunday with a heart and life for him that will never be the same.

Joy, He will nesstle your plane in the feathers of His wings as He flies you to awaiting blessings.

If you find your anxiety level increasing try this technique...
Whisper one character trait of God for each letter of the alphabet beginning with A; then whisper a different character trait and this time begin with the letter Z.

I'm so proud of you for taking this step of faith; it's a scary one for you. But the Lord is bigger than your fear and will bless your obedience.

Joshua 1:9,"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (NIV)

Can't wait to meet you sweete friend!

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day! What a lovely way to celebrate, particularly with your Mom, sisters & niece!

Loved the picture of you and your son! = ) My husband and I have asked ourselves the same question. Our son grew taller than both of us by mid-way through high school. Indeed, there is truly nothing like the joy that comes from knowing your son (or daughter) is walking with the Lord. = )

Blessings!
Tracy

Dear Joy,
I am so glad to hear that you had a great mother's day. I was able to spend most of the day with my husband alone, and then later with my whole family.
I am praying for you through your anxiety. I know what it is like. I am supposed to be heading out of the house, like now, for bible study, and find myself stalling, even though I know I am safe with them. Is that crazy or what?
anyway, hope you have a chance to stop over soon to my blog. I hope my most recent post on Trusting, will speak to your heart.
Love you, and God bless,
Heather
