Believing without Seeing

"...even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy" 1 Peter 1:8

This verse came to mind this morning as I was visiting my friend Cheri's blog.

I'm struggling to see God in my Daddy's health concerns. I know He's in his heart, I just don't see Him in his happenings.

As Cheri reminded me, this test is writing a testimony over my life.

"Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail." Lam.3:22

"..blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29

I encourage you to visit Cheri's blog and be encouraged today. He's with us "In the Fog or the Furnace".

'Seeing' Him today, not because my vision gives sight, but because my heart knows He's there.

I will be back tonight to give an update on my Dad. Thank you for all your prayers.

Dear Joy,
"I trust in the steadfast love of God."
Psalm 52:8
God's love for you is enduring..unwavering...firmly in place...dependable...reliable...
constant...Not only does He love you, but he loves your father. When you truly love someone, as our Father loves us, you only want what is best for the person. God knows what is best in this situation. I'm praying that you cling to Him, to guide you each step of the way. I pray that He showers His love on you today. I feel peaceful knowing just how much God loves your family...knowing that God and only God, knows what is best to do.

Praying, dear sister!

Joy I am so sorry for this roller coaster you have been on and for how your heart is grieving for the circumstances your dear daddy is enduring. I have no words other than assurance of my prayers for you and your family. May God be especially close and real to each of you in the midst of this storm.

This is so true, Joy. So many times I've wondered where His Hand is...not seeing Him work in my life but knowing, just knowing He was working. It's like I said in my post last Friday/Saturday that "they" say when we feel Him least, He's at work the most. Praise be to the Lord for His mysterious ways...even though they cause our heart to jump, we know He is faithful to us always.

Ahh my friend, I saw your pictures on face book. What a blessing!!! Your daddy looked so good. What a wonderful thing to be able to have those pictures. Good reminders of the amazing things that God does.
You all look wonderful. It is a blessing for me to see the faces of those I am praying for.
Love you,
Heather
